Planting Trees at Lopez Urban Farm

Date and time: December 2nd 2023, 8:30 am-12:00 pm

Location: Lopez Urban Fram

Description of Event:

On December 2, 2023, BlueSky LA partnered with Lopez Urban Farm in Pomona with the goal of planting trees in different locations at the farm. A total of 24 native trees were planted for this event. We had a diverse array of volunteers in attendance. In groups of 4-5, volunteers eagerly worked on planting native trees throughout the farm.

Why?

Planting 24 native trees at Lopez Urban Farm fosters environmental sustainability and community unity. This initiative enhances the local ecosystem, strengthens community bonds, and honors indigenous traditions, benefiting Pomona's residents.
