Building a Moveable Garden at ST. Joseph School

Description of Event:
On September 30th, 2023, we partnered with St. Joseph School in La Puente, California, and developed a small garden for all 100 T/K-8th grade students to enjoy.
Why?
Located in La Puente, the initiative undertaken at St. Joseph School focuses on establishing a garden. Part of the project included implementing hedges and various 5-tiered movable vertical garden planters, which held tremendous potential to create a positive impact in a community burdened by pollution and high asthma rates. Volunteers had built planters and painted flower pots. In addition, 4 DIY Corsi Rosenthal Air Purifiers were constructed and given to the school community.
